I would recognize the baiting for what it was, and say yes, dear you’re right, it’s really hard. Now YOU go do it. I am a feminist in many ways, but when it comes to changing tires and squishing spiders I’ve always said “That’s what Daddies and brothers (and now husbands) are for.”
