This is what our BOM said about our area tonight.

This is what we captured. I would have got some photo’s of some very impressive hail if it hadn’t been so dangerous to go out.
These two photo’s don’t show the bolts, just the sky lit up.
Stomping through the puddles in our flooded front yard
And yet we still have this to come.
TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for DAMAGING WIND and FLASH FLOODING
For people in the Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Southeast Coast and parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.
Issued at 9:27 pm Wednesday, 19 November 2008.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include insert MY TOWN HERE, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Dalby, Gympie, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Kingaroy.
If they’re predicting floods it’s not for the amount of rain we’ve had (so far about 65 mil in three hours) it will be the rain coming down from the hill’s. Tomorrow is going to be a very sticky and muggy and yukky non washing day for me.
But for now, I’m going to sleep, in my NEW bed!!!
And before you get all up in arms about Jaxon being out in the rain and lightening, it’s HOT and MUGGY and he loved it. I remember being a child. I’m letting him experience it all, despite the 300+ hits of lightening we had in an hour! He also had a nice long hot bath afterwards. I remember loving those too.
COOL photos Boo! You have a real knack for photography. Just imagine what you can do when you get that new camera??!!! Wish you could get it sooner. What have you sold so far to raise money? Maybe you could sell a few body parts? LOL!
I agree, cool photos! Impressive, but yeah, imagine if you had a better camera, those pictures would be even more amazing, probably professional quality!!
Maybe your christmas present from me and Jordan could be some money towards the new camera??
Ha Ha! Well Tim took two of those photo’s! Mary Beth, I’ve sold the old TV so far. The water bed is on the chopping block, as is a lot of other stuff we don’t use…it’s set to go off next week. I’ve looked in to making paid sperm donation’s but they said I didn’t fit the requirements?? Maybe a kidney?? Katie, the camera IS professional, so it had better come with the professional quality…after classes of course. You Dave and Jordan should just enjoy your own Christmas, but thansk for the thought LOL
camera???? what camera? c’mon…. share. You know how much I like gadgets, lol
Well Kelly, every time we go to Brisbane and have to find things to talk about I always end up telling Tim I want better photo’s of Jaxon. And Tim always has to tell me that I’d need a better camera and I’d have to do classes. Thats been going on ever since we started going to brisbane in Febraury LAST year. I finally decided a few months ago that I was going to GET that better camera and take those classes. But the camera is expensive, so I’m selling everything we don’t need LOL
Look up the Nikon d90. After months of research I’ve decided on that one because it’s the only one that does video’s too. I’m glad none of you have bashed me up for letting Jaxon out in the lightening and rain!
