For quite some time now I’ve been learning slowly how to oil paint following the instruction of Bob Ross. A legendary painter who unfortunately died a few years ago.

Recently though I’ve wanted to move away from his work and in to something different but because I was finding his “easy” instructions so damned difficult I was hesitant to try.

But then I decided to just go for it. I found a photo of an apple, and I watched a heap of video’s on painting apples on youtube…yes, apple painting, on youtube…and I went for it!

I’m really happy with how it’s going. My apple is beautiful and I’m working on a galah that’s turning out nicely as well. Next we try something furry. Like a meercat or something.
